Days have a way of blending into each other. The repetition of life dulls our senses until our world can become gray. But like refreshing rain, God gives us splashes of joy to color our world and to help us see with new eyes.

When the storms of life threaten to overwhelm you and hopelessness is all you know, there is One who can bring peace to troubled lives. Jesus spoke the winds and the waves into submission, and He can calm your storm too. Just ask Him.

Whether breaking bread around a table or coming together around the Word of God, it’s good to be with other believers. We find common ground, encouragement, and happy hearts. Fellowship is one of God’s greatest gifts to His children.

God, you are the only thing that matters. Remind me of your goodness and your love.

When you’re paralyzed in darkness and can’t find a way around your problems, it can feel like God has forgotten you. But He hasn’t. Take a moment to remember what He has done for you, and know that He will lead you out of your darkness into His light.

It’s time to get rid of all the gunk—the dirt, the grime, the residue of old ways. That is not you anymore. You’ve been cleaned. You’ve been changed. You’ve tasted what is good and real and true. So live free.

The weight of the darkness can be suffocating. Until the Light of the World reveals Himself, and you believe.

Living with an attitude of gratitude just makes life better.
